A note from Nova Scotia – Vehicle Compliance Training & Outreach

Vehicle Compliance is finding some of the wire cables used to winch the containers on roll on/off containers on the back of the trucks and secure them when positioned, have frayed cables. This could be a situation where it could result in placing the vehicle Out of Service due to insufficient load securement requirements. The National Safety Code standard for cargo load securement can be found here.

Vehicle Compliance has asked us to pass along this information so companies can inspect these cables and eliminate any risk of injury or damage.
