As the collective voice of the road transport industry in Atlantic Canada the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association will promote the industry for the benefit of our members.


The mission at the FSSNS is to develop and deliver cost effective, quality training programs. These programs will ensure a safe work environment and a skilled work force for the Forestry Industry of Nova Scotia, in compliance with Industry and Government regulations.


The primary function of the Association is to promote all matters aiding the development and improvement of the trucking industry and the allied trades in Nova Scotia, including social, recreational, benevolent, educational and charitable activities.


The Trucking Human Resource Sector Council Atlantic is a not for profit organization who operates largely on provincial and federal grants to assist the Trucking Industry in a variety of human resource platforms.

The Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) is a health, safety and environmental organization for professionals in Canada. They work with industry, governmental agencies and other safety organizations to promote a greater awareness of health, safety and environmental issues in workplaces and communities across the nation and around the world.


The Regulations adopt by reference the National Safety Code Standard 10: Cargo Securement, for all vehicles with a registered gross vehicle weight greater than 4,500 kg .For vehicles with a registered gross vehicle weight of 4,500 kg or less, the Regulations provide general securement rules.The Regulationsretain the requirements for tarping from the previous regulations.

HMIRC’s clients consist of a number of WHMIS 2015 stakeholders: suppliers and employers in the chemical industry who wish to protect their trade secrets from being disclosed on SDSs or labels; employers who rely on supplier SDS information to prepare their own workplace SDSs and training programs; and labour organizations representing all workers who are exposed to these products.

Trucking Injury Reduction Emphasis.TIRES is a research project developed by the SHARP program at the Washington Department of Labor & Industries. SHARP’s research shows that trucking has some of the highest claims rates and costs in the State of Washington. Discussion with industry and labor groups revealed a desire to improve these rates.
