The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal says spring weight restrictions will be removed from paved roads in the following counties on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 12:01 a.m.:
– Antigonish County
– Cumberland County
– Cape Breton Regional Municipality
– Guysborough County
– Inverness County
– Pictou County
– Richmond County
– Victoria County.
The department says restrictions will also be lifted in northern Colchester County, north of Highway 104 between the Cumberland County line in the west and the Pictou County line in the east.
NOTE: The Department may still have individual roads posted for lower weight in the above noted Counties to prevent damage to the roadways. Industry is advised that the posted weights will be enforced.
NOTE: Due to the heavy rains as of late Spring Weight Restrictions shall remain in effect for all gravel roads for the Counties identified in this notice.
