Who Should Attend: Provincially regulated carriers - If you work exclusively within the province of Nova Scotia or haul only your own goods across Provincial Borders, and have less than 5 employees, you are required to attend the one-day training.

Members:                             $50 plus HST (fee for binder only)
Associate Members:            $250 registration + $50 binder plus HST
Non Members:                     $350 registration + $50 binder plus HST

Federal Occupational Health & Safety Program -
2 days (including manual, disc and ½ day “Proper Lifting Program”)

Who Should Attend: Federally regulated carriers - If you travel across Provincial or Federal
Borders and receive remuneration for doing this you will be regulated by the Canada Labour Code, and therefore must attend the Two-Day Training.

Or

If your firm employs 5+ workers you are required to attend the Two-Day Training.

Members:                             $75 plus HST (fee for binder only)
Associate Members:            $300 registration + $75 binder plus HST
Non Members:                     $425 registration + $75 binder plus HST

WHMIS Train-The-Trainer - 2 days (including manual)

Training Dates and Locations:

Dates to be scheduled based on registration.

Members:                              $300 plus HST
Associate Members:             $350 plus HST
Non-Members:                      $450 plus HST

This two-day program will acquaint you with WHMIS (both federal and provincial legislation). It will give you a detailed WHMIS program to enable you to train your employees and certify them with regards to WHMIS. The package includes a CD and hard copy of the program as well as the complete WHMIS power point presentation.

Workplace Incident/Accident Investigation 

(One day session) Many of our members have asked for this session and we are pleased to provide it to you this fall. At this session you will learn how to collect and analyze information to identify the cause of an incident/accident  as well as provide solutions to eliminate a repeat occurrence of that incident.  Participants will have lots of opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and have a better understanding of how to conduct an incident/accident investigation at their workplace.
